Michael King, DDS

Dr. Michael King earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at the University of Arkansas–Pine Bluff.   After college, he completed pre-doctoral training at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and subsequently entered Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, TN where he received his doctorate of dental surgery.

Following dental school, Dr. King went on to complete specialty training in Dental Anesthesia at MetroHealth – Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC and other affiliated hospitals in Washington DC and Bronx, NY.   During his dental residencies, he received extensive clinical training and worked to meet the needs of the underserved communities and patients with special needs.

Dr. King has devoted his professional career to the disciplines of oral and maxillofacial surgery with special interests in dental implants and trauma. Dr. King holds a medical staff appointment at Howard University Hospital and is actively involved in the training of oral and maxillofacial surgery residents and dental students, where he advocates for the medical management of the whole patient, disease prevention and patient education.

Dr. King belongs to a number of local and national dental organizations, including American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Dental Association, Southern Maryland Dental Society, Mid-Atlantic Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Maryland State Dental Association.  

He is licensed to practice in the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia.
